Cloud 9 Living NYC Dinner Cruise Review

For those who know me, you already know I am a strong believer in making memories vs holding on to tangible items. So when Cloud 9 Living reached out to me, I became instantly excited because their motto is "Create a memory, give an experience"

Cloud 9 living allows you to search different activities based on region and type, pushing you to think past the typical tangible gift you would give someone for a special holiday. With over 2000 different options you can choose a Brooklyn Pizza tour for $125 up to a Private Hot Air Balloon ride for $595, the options are endless.  The website is super user friendly and motivates you to explore your city.

omewhere in between I chose a New York City Dinner Cruise by Spirit Cruises.  As a Native New Yorker, I wanted to choose an experience that would allow me to appreciate my city and I also wanted to be a Badass and get on a boat in the middle of winter. 

Booking the cruise was super easy, I just had to reach out to Cloud9 with my choice and they arranged with the tour provider, within an hour I had my confirmation details from Spirit.  Cloud9 was so nice and generous they gave me a comp dinner for two, which turned into a lovely date night for me.

Before arriving I read reviews on trip advisor and Yelp and was pleased to see may 4 and 5 star ratings. I was prepared to spend my evening with tourists and people clebrating birthdays. I've been on a few vacation cruises before but never a fancy dinner cruise in NYC, so I was very excited.

 Logistics before boarding was very organized, I did not have to wait on any long lines to get my ticket or to begin boarding. The decor inside was so beautiful! The lighting was great and the food smelled amazing. The energy onboard was great, there were two parties celebrating birthdays and I was seated near a family visiting NYC from Louisiana. Although I was right in my own city, it felt great to escape for a few hours with people from different places with great energy. 

et me just say, the food was AMAZING!!!  There were selections for everyones preference,  and the drinks were great. I got a Captains Punch, which arrived in a 45oz glass that I sipped on the entire night. After dinner the DJ stepped up the music, the party got started so quick, I was SHOCKED. I prepped myself got a cheesy night filled with Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars, however I ended up on the floor dancing to everything from SOCA all the way to the Wobble. 

We took a break from the dance floor for about 20 minutes to allow everyone to do some sightseeing. Despite the snow and freezing temperatures everyone ran outside to get a beautiful view of the Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge and Lady Liberty herself.  It was truly a beautiful sight to be so close to Lady Liberty at night. I grew up going on field trips to the statue, however I have never seen how beautiful she looks at night, it was breathtaking.

I had such a lovely time onboard Spirit Cruises. I give this experience a 4.5 just because I wanted more desert options, other than that everything was perfect! I would totally do this again in the summer during the day.
