Let's Talk Hair
I am always intrigued to hear about hair routines although I have no energy or time to learn a new one. My hair personality channels between 3B and 3C. Day one of my wash and go, she is for sure 3c! Day 2: 3c/3B, and if I make it to Day 3 she is completely 3B. When it comes to my hair and products I am far from a risk taker but I LOVE sharing tips and tricks that I've learned along the way.
What products do you use?
Right now I am currently using Devacurl One Condition for my daily detangling and conditioning. I also use Herbal Essences because I LOVE the scent and my hair just loves it. I usually part my hair is four parts and use a big wire brush to detangle from the ends to the roots. Once completely detangled I let it sit in a shower cap for about 5 minutes while I finish showering to get all the moisture in. For my deep condition I use "Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner." on a weekly basis. BTW I NEVER SHAMPOO!
How do you style?
My styling technique usually depends on both the season and how much time I have to get out of the house! During the warmer months I use Mixed Chicks Leave In. I seriously love this product because it not only nourishes my curls but it does not weigh them down. After I wash out my detangling conditioner I apply the leave in throughout my entire hear from roots to ends. If you have a trouble spot like I do in the middle of my head apply some extra to tame the frizz. Once I'm out the shower, I wrap my hair in a T-Shit to get it damp then I let it out and separate the curls as they begin to dry.
As they start to dry, I apply some more leave-in where necessary and some coconut oil to seal the deal. Once dry I whip out my pick and I add volume. In the colder months, I let my curls flow through the diffuser to dry faster but I use the same exact product and technique once dry.
How do you get it big?
